Dear fellow family members,
Much has happened in the last year and NONE of it has been documented on our lovely blog. I suppose that since we're now all on facebook the blog has become a little less necessary, but I still think it's a great idea. So, here's a brief update on what's happened in our collective little families - very brief, as the lack of updates means I don't really know what's going on :)
1) Last summer, in July 2008, Dan and Katie were married! Katie is teaching school...I don't know what Dan's doing, but I'm sure they're enjoying newlywed bliss :)
2) Kevin McMahon joined the Airforce....our family is close to the military, in case you haven't noticed. He joins quite a line of men who have served our country: Grandpa Milt (Grandma was a nurse, so she counts, too!), Dick Lentz, Jim Lentz, Brian Lentz, Tony Dorman, Tyler Lentz, and Daniel Allen (soon to be part of the family!). Kevin is serving in Mississippi.
3) Tyler Lentz finished his training in Arizona and is now stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas.
4) Laura got engaged to a Navy Corpsman, Daniel Allen :) Daniel's currently deployed in Iraq, due back to the states in November. The wedding is set for December 19, 2009. Hope to see you all there! Laura will be moving to Hawaii after the wedding.
5) Brian and Sarah Lentz are preggers!! Expecting baby-boy Lentz at the end of August....for the record, this family unit's men (Brian, Tyler, new baby and eventually Daniel) will all have birthdays within about 10 days of each other.
6) The Jenny and Andy are wrapping up things in Blacksburg (I think that's the right place) and will be moving to.....TBD. Congrats to Andy on finishing Grad School!
7) Matt Berlin is finishing his first year of college....go Hokies!
8) The Shimoji-Lentzes puddle jumped from Japan to Guam and, from the pics on facebook, seem to be enjoying the island-living.
My apologies for the things I've missed....please keep in touch, everyone! It's so nice to know what's going on in each other's lives. We ARE family, after all. :)
